Previously I had knit two patterns calling for 3 colors of Soft Merino (I’m attaching their photos just in case), but because they were a bit heavy for shawls or wraps, I thought I’d knit the third one in a material that would work up lighter. I decided on Soft Baby Alpaca. This yarn has a good texture, it’s warm because it’s baby alpaca, and it’s very soft on the skin?very suitable for a wrap, isn’t it? I knit it tightly with two strands of yarn held together to prevent the wind from passing through it. I think it ended up being a practical item with satisfactory appearance. Since I wanted to knit an individual item with a strong color scheme unlike what is sold as ready-made, the rich color saturation of this yarn was spot-on. I was very happy when I occasionally received messages from many of my blog readers, who commented things like, “Red and green and purple?! I’ve never seen such a color combination!” With Soft Baby Alpaca, you can combine any color with any other color fittingly, and besides that, it’s nice that isn’t too commonplace. I plan to make another one in different colors for next winter.

先にソフトメリノ3色づかいで2パターン編んだ（いちおうコレも画像添付しておきます）んですが
巻き物としては少し重かったので、3本目は軽く仕上がる素材を、と思いソフトベビーアルパカを選びました。
この糸は風合いもよく、ベビーアルパカだからあたたかいし、肌触りもよくて巻き物向きですね。
二本取りして蜜に編むことで風を通さず、実用面でも満足のいくのものになったと思います。
既製品には売ってないようなクセの強い配色で個性的なものを編みたいと思っていたので
この糸のコッテリとした色出しはピッタリでした。
「赤と緑と紫なんて！！こんな色合わせ見たことない！」と
大勢のブログ読者さんからメッセージが寄せられたときにはすごくうれしかった。
ソフトベビーアルパカはどの色とどの色を組み合わせてもしっくり来てなおかつ平凡すぎないところがいいです。
来期はまた違う色合わせで編むつもり。
